A brand new Offshore Wind Innovation Hub has opened in Brooklyn, New York, offering a tech incubator-type surroundings to assist startups develop their enterprise and drive new innovation within the offshore wind trade.
The three-year initiative is backed by Equinor and bp, companions creating the Empire Wind and Beacon Wind offshore wind initiatives, amongst others together with the Nationwide Offshore Wind Analysis & Improvement Consortium (NOWRDC).
The Offshore Wind Innovation Hub was based in mid-2022 and has now introduced its first name for purposes. Startups may have entry to the co-working area and programming on the hub positioned at Business Metropolis in Brooklyn’s Sundown Park neighborhood.
The hub is designed to facilitate testing alternatives, fast-track commercialization, and creating strategic partnerships. An Accelerator Program will permit chosen cohort corporations to start a six-month intensive mentoring and enterprise growth program in June 2023.
