A mega conference of members of the Ernakulam-Angamaly Archdiocese of the Syro-Malabar Church shall be held on the Jawaharlal Nehru Worldwide Stadium, Kaloor (Cardinal Parekattil Nagar) on Sunday afternoon to protest towards Archbishop Antony Kariyil being “compelled” to resign and the Synod “imposing” the order of worship in church buildings below the archdiocese.
The opposite calls for embody initiation of steps to recoup via restitution the large sums of cash that the archdiocese reportedly misplaced via the controversial land deal, and giving due prominence to the opinions of church members and organisations.
The conference shall be organised below the banner of Athiroopatha Samrakshana Samithi, Almaya Munnettam, Daivajana Kootayma, Basilica Kootayma, KCYM, CLC, CML, and Vincent De Paul Society. Members from all parishes below the archdiocese will take part within the conference, says a launch.
