HC asks why govt didn’t ask for data from Swiss financial institution

The Excessive Courtroom (HC) has needed to know why the federal government didn’t search any data of Bangladeshis who’ve financial institution accounts within the Swiss Banks.

An HC bench of Justice Md Nazrul Islam Talukder and Justice Khizir Hayat on Thursday issued a suo moto rule on this regard.

The Anti-Corruption Fee (ACC) and the state have been requested to tell the HC by Sunday.

Advocate Khurshid Alam Khan represented the ACC within the court docket whereas Deputy Legal professional Common AKM Amin Uddin Manik represented the state.

Earlier on Wednesday, Ambassador of Switzerland to Bangladesh Nathalie Chuard stated that the federal government of Bangladesh didn’t make any request for checking account data of any people from the nation depositing cash within the Swiss banks.
