The District Planning Committee (DPC) has authorized the allocation of ₹160 crore for executing varied tasks below the annual Plan of the Kannur Corporation for the 12 months 2022-23.

The tasks embody Plan fund (Common), Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe fund, upkeep grant (highway and non-road), and Finance Fee grant.

A few of the allocations embody ₹39.4 crore for building and upkeep of latest roads, ₹4.79 crore for the maintenance of faculties, hospitals, and Krishi Bhavans, ₹75 lakh for building of anganwadis, ₹1.75 crore for a dietary scheme for anganwadi youngsters, ₹1.25 crore for offering scholarships and assistive units to the otherwise abled, ₹41 lakh for buying laptops for SC college students, ₹7.5 lakh for beds for senior residents, and ₹50 lakh for monetary help of dialysis sufferers.

Likewise, ₹75 lakh has been allotted for the acquisition of Ayurvedic, homeopathic, and allopathic medicines in hospitals, ₹5 lakh for Miyawaki Forestry, ₹5 lakh for post-surgery medical help for transgenders, ₹30 lakh for buy of medicines for the terminally in poor health, and ₹38 lakh for palliative care.
