Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 11: Congress’ Bharat Jodo Yatra commenced its 19-day lengthy Kerala leg Sunday morning from Parassala space of the capital metropolis.

Rahul Gandhi began the yatra after being formally welcomed by Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president and MP Okay Sudhakaran, Chief of Opposition (LoP) within the state meeting V D Satheesan, and AICC common secretary Tariq Anwar and different senior Congress leaders.

An enormous crowd of supporters and onlookers gathered to welcome the Gandhi scion.

“Our Bharat Jodo Yatra in Kerala. The variety of India is so obvious. Yesterday we entered Malayalam talking Kerala from Tamil talking Tamil Nadu. From Vannakam to Namaskaram . #BharatJodoYatra #TodoNahinJodo @INCIndia @Jairam_Ramesh @RahulGandhi,” senior Congress chief Digvijaya Singh, the nationwide coordinator of the yatra, tweeted.

“Achieve freedom by way of schooling, acquire power by way of group, acquire prosperity by way of business. As we speak, as we enter the attractive state of Kerala, on the auspicious event of Sree Narayana Guru Jayanti, his phrases encourage each step we tackle the #BharatJodoYatra,” Gandhi had tweeted because the yatra entered Kerala Saturday night.

After getting into Kerala from Parasala near the Tamil Nadu border, Gandhi would journey 450 km to Nilambur in Malappuram over a 19-day interval.

The yatra will enter Kollam district on September 14.

It can attain Alappuzha on September 17 and go by way of Ernakulam district on September 21 and 22 and attain Thrissur on September 23.

The Congress yatra will go by way of Palakkad on September 26 and 27 and enter Malappuram on September 28.

The yatra will cowl 12 states and two Union territories, and a distance of three,750 km from Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu to Jammu and Kashmir over a interval of 150 days.

There will probably be mega rallies in 22 main cities.
