Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik flagged off 10 e-buses and 50 e-rickshaws to make Bhubaneswar an environment-friendly metropolis with much less carbon emission. The buses have 30 seats every, out of which these reserved for ladies have been marked in pink, an official mentioned.
The zero-emission electrical automobiles will promote inexperienced mobility, whereas paving the best way for a sustainable future and ‘Sabuja Odisha’, he mentioned.
The variety of e-buses will enhance to 50 sooner or later and the main focus will even be on the employment of girls within the operations, he added.
Rides on the e-buses shall be free until July 31.
