Bangladesh Street Transport Authority (BRTA) has held a gathering with stakeholders to reschedule buses in view of the rise in gas costs.
The assembly began on the BRTA Auditorium with the general public transport stakeholders after 5 pm on Saturday (August 6).
Chairman of BRTA Noor Mohammad Majumder is presiding over the assembly. Secretary of Roads and Highways Division Amin Ullah Noori and representatives of Bus House owners Affiliation are current. Earlier, the federal government elevated the costs of diesel, petrol, kerosene and octane from 12 pm on Friday (August 5). The value has elevated by Tk 34 per liter of diesel, Tk 34 of kerosene, Tk 46 of octane and Tk 44 of petrol. After the rise in value, diesel needs to be purchased at Tk 114, kerosene at Tk 114, octane at Tk 135 and petrol at Tk 130.
