As many as 17 households from flood-hit areas had been relocated to aid camps in Vellarikund taluk in Kasaragod on Wednesday.
Vellarikund tehsildar P.V. Murali stated a landslip is suspected in Chulli space of Balal village. He added that no casualties had been reported to this point.
The official stated 17 households from Chulli C.V. Colony, which was hit by the flash floods, had been shifted to a aid camp on the Chulli Authorities LP Faculty. One other 20 households will quickly be shifted to the camp.
Sub Collector D.R. Meghashree visited the aid camp.
The tehsildar stated the official equipment was ready to take care of emergency conditions in Vellarikund taluk, and in case of heavy rains, individuals residing in Panathadi and Balal Palavayal villages could be relocated to safer areas.
